Giving Back to the Community
Ross & Ross International encourages giving back to the community.
Hospice by the Sea (Trustbridge)
We volunteered our time to develop the first website for Hospice By The Sea. It is the fifth largest hospice in the U.S. Hospice By The Sea is located in Boca Raton, Florida. The organization's people, medical care, service and facilities are world-class. They are dedicated to providing compassionate care for patients living with a life-limiting condition, as well as providing spiritual support for patients, their families and caregivers. We maintained and expanded the site for the first three years before turning over the support to the Hospice staff. The website was donated by Ross & Ross International in memory of Toby Ross (Barry's Mom).
Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties
Over the years, we've volunteered at Second Harvest's food warehouses to pack and ship food to the needy. Second Harvest Food Bank is the primary source of donated, surplus, and purchased food for nonprofit agencies in Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties. Since its inception in 1974, Second Harvest has become one of the largest food banks in the nation, providing food to an average of nearly one quarter of a million people each month.

Cell Phones for Soldiers
We promote Cell Phones for Soldiers on our website. This helps our soldiers and recycles the cell phones. The Cell Phones for Soldiers program was started in April 2004 by 13-year-old Brittany Bergquist and her 12-year-old brother Robbie of Norwell, Massachusetts. Robbie and Brittany's goal is to help our soldiers serving overseas call home. They hope to provide as many soldiers as possible with prepaid calling cards. Through generous donations and the recycling of used cell phones, Robbie and Brittany have already distributed thousands of calling cards to soldiers around the globe. Please donate your oldphone today.

FreeRice.com - Supporting United Nations World Food Programme
FreeRice.com is a non-profit website that is owned by and supports the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP). They have two goals: Provide education to everyone for free. Help end world hunger by providing rice to the hungry people for free. Participate in FreeRice's Online Trivia Game (easy and fun to play!) and for each answer you get right, they will donate 10 grains of rice through the WFP to help end hunger. The rice is paid for by the sponsors whose names you see on the bottom of your screen when you enter a correct answer. Sponsors make all payments to the WFP directly.
Founded in 2000 by a Bronx history teacher, DonorsChoose.org has raised $553,783,599 for America's classrooms. Teachers come to DonorsChoose.org to request the materials and experiences they need most for their classrooms, and donors give to the projects that inspire them. To date, 2,677,963 people and partners have funded 937,259 projects on the site, reaching 23,188,671 students and making DonorsChoose.org the leading platform for supporting U.S. public schools. DonorsChoose.org is the only crowdfunding platform that vets each request, delivers materials directly to schools, and captures the impact of every funded project with photos, thank yous, and a cost report showing how each dollar was spent. In 2014, DonorsChoose.org made the top 10 of Fast Company's list of the World's Most Innovative Companies, the first time a charity has received such recognition.
